 Its actually a Pregnant Onion Bloom...see the new onion inside the flower? The blooms are so small, this whole bunch is the length of an average finger.

This great shot would also have fitted the Rithm challenge.
The only thing IMO could be better is that either the things in the top right corner should disappear or be stronger.

This is a great shot, I didn't vote on that challenge, but congrats on the top 20. I sort of wonder if a shallower DOF would server to highlight the open bloom a little better, but it's really great the way it is.

Excellent colours and DOF. Like the leading line and the selection of the one open flower. Top right corner "spheres" are a little distracting.

Perhaps a shallower DOF so only the bloom is in focus would have been better.

I've seen a lot of plants and trees... Yes, they meet the challenge, but where is the creativity... It's the image that stands out from the rest that wins me over.
