This photo is a very happy accident. I snapped this while photographing the Bees, all it required was resizing for the contest.

If a bee was on that flower I would grab a net and catch it.

title sucks
07/18/2002 05:55:00 PM
hehehe, without the bee this is an awesome abstract, flowing composition. :-)

I love calalilies!! this is a beautiful color and the greens seem really rich - the lighing on this also is great. I wish I could see it cropped to just about the main flower and just to the left of it, so that the ground is cropped out. great job! 7 cthenk

I don't like the title, but I'm not going to judge it on that.

Beautiful. This a delicate looking flower, and you have captured it well, I think. karmat

shame you missed the bee, i know they can be frustrating to photograph. :) i'm wondering why you took the picture at the angle you did and rotated it this way. i just turned it upright to look at it, but then it's still a bit out of wack. i find that a little confusing and i'm not sure it adds to the shot. i do like the flower (i have those at home, but can never remember the name), and it would make a good shot for texture as well, don't you think? -- gr8photos (4)

thank god you missed the bee. that would double the unoriginality.
07/16/2002 05:06:00 PM
Im so glad you missed the bee.
07/16/2002 02:06:00 PM
... and unfortunately, your photo is rather boring because you missed it.
Great picture of a flower though.

really pretty. i would like to see a more even distribution of light. I E the dark green part of leaves more evenly lit.

Not a bad thing missing the bee this week. But you also missed the exposure. For shots like this I want to see more color, too.

too many bees in this challenge anyway! nicely done. If it weren't for the size restrictions, it would've been nice cropped even tighter.

Gorgeous calla lily
07/15/2002 05:08:00 PM
Very nice color here. Fine job. Kee

Great shot! Too bad about the bee, adds extra element/intest etc. A little less reflection off the petal might have been nice for a deeper, richer color. 9 Swash

Still, lovely flower.
07/15/2002 07:13:00 AM
Sure did.
07/15/2002 01:14:00 AM
Very nice photo. I love the contrasting colors.
07/15/2002 01:13:00 AM
semi interesting, not very sharp, and the exposure and saturation could be better.
07/15/2002 12:40:00 AM
A pretty nice shot. Too bad you missed the bee :) They can be hard to catch, I know, I've tried. I think if you had used a different angle, the picture would be a bit more interesting. Try taking one that looks down the center of the flower maybe.
