nice use of perspective

nice effort. not a lot going on in this picture, though. i mean, yes, it's the subway. but then what happened? know what I mean? it's a little blurry too.

The station architecture makes for a nice image. I'd like to see more people, or seeing the train coming or going (i.e., with some portion of the track visible). 6 sjgleah

I like the depth.
07/19/2002 05:35:00 AM
OK, but not very interesting, some people moving in the foreground will add some dynamics.
07/18/2002 11:24:00 PM
Clean shot and subway.

i'm trying to figure out what station you took this one in ... looks like it's on the northern line if i remember correctly (it's been a while ...). anyway, perspective is nice, but it's not the most interesting shot to me (beyond trying to figure out the exact location ;), and could do with a tad more sharpening. -- gr8photos (5)

aaah nicely plastified

Very nice. Great composition and angles - clean and crisp.
Good work.

Accurate description. Nice shot, pretty clean subway. 7 Swash

good framing job. I like the repetion of the colors on the doors, and the white and yellow lines pointing off into the distance.

yes it is indeed the tube and with a tube train in it too - bonus points for a) actually managing to find the train and for b) photographing a great british institution :)

i think you deserver a good score just for being brave enough to take your camera out on a tube station!
07/16/2002 10:00:00 PM
Very nice shot. I think that the composition is excellent. However, the focus is too soft. I think that a shot of machinary should have a very clear focus.
07/16/2002 09:19:00 PM
like the fisheye look
07/16/2002 08:17:00 PM
cool shot, nicely framed. maybe too much on the left. a little motion blur on the train could've been a nice effect too.

Just wanted to tell you that I love this picture; it speaks to me. Am impressed by the lightning of the picture. Presume you used flash yet I don't see the "flash colors" so typical of images using flash.

excelent. we are the blood. pumping through the veins. the tubes.

Good angle. I like that you can see the people.
07/16/2002 02:03:00 PM
Lots of color and grat focus, I like it
07/16/2002 01:41:00 PM
I love this picture in B/W with more contrast. //arnit.hamstur.is/dpchallenge/bw.jpg (arnit)

Nice job with the lines and curves here. Unfortunately the focus looks off.
07/16/2002 11:11:00 AM
I like the shot. It is well-balanced and nicely composed.
07/16/2002 09:36:00 AM
conveys the confined space well, using the left edge effectively. Would like to see a long exposure shot with the train moving/ blurred out ?
07/16/2002 08:45:00 AM
Excellent composition, but a bit blurry. This is worth trying again.
07/16/2002 06:28:00 AM
good work.. I like the way the train disappears off center... = 6 - jmsetzler

the levels could be corrected

the lens makes this picture work ! great job
07/15/2002 09:19:00 PM
Neat looking subway tunnel. Might be made more dramatic if you had stood on something, giving a bit more unusual angle.
07/15/2002 06:48:00 PM
I've always wanted to ride one of these. We don't have them here. This is a really interesting photo to me, maybe for that reason. I also like the shot angle and color so it just all adds up:)
07/15/2002 05:15:00 PM
"Mind the Gap! Stand clear of the doors please." -- Only probably not in that station -- too straight for a gap. (A "real" critique to come later.)
07/15/2002 01:28:00 PM
Your photo looked good in the thumbnail and I was looking forward to getting to it, but it doesn't have the critical sharpness a shot like this needs.
07/15/2002 01:17:00 PM
Alot in the picture but not alot going on. Dont like the subject matter, maybe because I see this sight too often myself.
07/15/2002 12:34:00 PM
Always difficult lighting these. Try for a smaller aperture, longer exposure and use a tripod to steady things.
07/15/2002 07:57:00 AM
Good use of depth.
07/15/2002 05:11:00 AM
Nice shot, good color and super dof. Kee
