Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
Hey Kita. Just want to start saying. Your "Seven deadly sins II" and "Deja Vu II" shots are amazing. You got a bright future in photography without a doubt!
Now... about this picture. I think you could have done better. The idea is good. There is journalism in the picture and a good reminder for all the people that lost their lives at War. In my opinion the color is a bit off. It is kinda yellow/orange. Maby it would have worked well to have a person in the picture looking at the plaque? Just an idea. Good luck in future challanges. I'll be watching you! |

Looks like lighting wasn't quite bright enough here for a hand held shot and it got a little blurry. Good shot for a plaque that may have just been put up, otherwise adding a person to the shot might help catch a person's eye and make them want to read the accompanying article. |

absolutely not. this is a photo of a sign. no people, no emotion, no story, except for words that explicitly say something, which your photo had nothing to do with. |

I would like this better if it was sharper. The brass plaque has nice sharp edges with the raised letters and that just doesn't translate in this shot. |

Lighting is not very good, the shot is tilting towards the right side and the photograph would have benefitted from something more in it, not just the sign. |

a photograph of a plaque is not very dynamic or creative. the strong yellow cast greatly detracts from whatever interest this photo might otherwise carry |

Photo appears a little out of focus and is not square in the frame and I believe that you could have improved this post production. I also fine the flash reflection on the left side of the plague very off-puting.
As a "photo journalist" I think it would have been nicer to have had a wreath or a soldier with the plaque. |

sorry but this photo is no good at all, the compo is bad, white balance is akward ... the color in general are missed, how to improve ? maybe take it from an angle straight below and the crop it, try different color combination, little playing around in postprocessing could make this much better ... sorry i'll give ya 3 |

Nice sentiment, but not really what comes to mind when I think of photojournalism. It's a bit OOF and the glare is distracting. |
