The silhouette (spell check, please) looks amazing against the soft background. Well done! |

Personally I woiuld have moved the plant to the low point of the tree line which would have provided leading lines down to the subject, and moved the subject away from the center of the frame.
Otherwise this is very well done. I like silhouttes anyway, and the fog obscured trees add interest to the background. |

Good use of negative space here. The only comment is that it would be nice to see some amount of detail in the tree. |

Nice idea! I would have tried to place the pot a little higher though, in order to get rid of the trees. - 7 |

a lovely shot and negative space....I would not have centered the tree but maybe moved to the left.or cropped out bushy area on the left..then the plane from the bonzai tree to the light on the upper right would make the photo more dramatic IMO

Composition too central for me. I think the feeling of space is lacking due to the bonsai being 'framed' by the landscape around it. An off-centre position (try blocking the overpowering left side out of vision - it looks better) would have improved this. |

Nice Bonsai, looks like a Fukien Tea. This would be much improved if it wasn't sitting dead center in the frame. Moved over to the left and take out the rising slope there would have been much more dramatic. Good shot. |

Placing the bonzai center makes IT the focus and suggests that IT is what we should be looking at almost exclusively. Using the rule of thirds would invite us to also look at its environment and would suggest that it belongs in this mysterious, foggy world. Your choice, of course, but I would experiment with moving it to one side or the other. 7 |
