I truly want to thank everyone for the votes and comments on my first challenge entry. Being new with the camera the comments have been a big help.
I will have to give credit to the camera, Coolpix 775. All I did was use a tripod and time the shot with the fuse, which was not easy. Because we were in darkness and I had the focus set on infinity the camera automatically slowed the shutter speed and it did not react timely enough and picked up the long tail. I did not plan the effect, and was shocked and amazed with the outcome.
BTW, there were no burns on the arm. |

Very cool. Maybe would been neat to have the bottle a little to the right (1/3rds rule), and have been able to see more of the trail. Of course, this would have meant losing a bit of the arm, but I think you coulda kept enough to have gotten the point across. |

Fun use of a long shutter speed. Great sense of energy. The weird thing is, for me, it looks like all the sparks are getting sucked into the bottle. If I'm gonna be picky, I wish the arm wasn't blurred -- maybe propping it on something to reduce that a little? Great shot. |

Don't try this at home! Aren't you required to use a Jones Soda bottle? Hope you're willin to share the procedure after the challenge. |

This is a great capture! In a perfect world I would have liked to see it cropped just above finger on bottle in hopes of seeing more of the rocket trail. The arm and shirt sleeve are distracting. Great job! 8 cthenk |

Interesting, but arm is not necessary in the picture. Zoom to bottle and sparks only. |

Maybe crop out the shirt sleeve???? Actually, I like this. It's a great action shot, good contrast and the clarity of the sparks through the bottle is super. Was this painful???? =7 |

OB-1, cool picture it is. May the fire be without you and the force be with you. |

Nice long exposure and an interesting idea. I don't care much for having the arm in the shot, but that is my personal preference. The light trails turned out really good. |

maybe if you photoshopped the arm out of the picture it would be better. |

Very cool, did anyone get burned? Your camera has two burned out pixels, I think, they show up on either side of your subject's wrists, there could be more. (Absolutely no downscore!!!!) In fact, you get a 10 from me. Swash There was a forum discussion about this pixel burnout thing last week. If you weren't involved, you should check it out. |
