This challenge served as really good practice for some of the lighting techniques I've been reading up on. It was a bit of a chore for me because lighting isn't really a strong suit of mine, and I also had a vision of very soft light that I wanted to emulate--as if sun was shining on the fruit through a large window. I used a three light set-up, pointed towards the fruits from either side and at about the same height. I also used some white foam board as reflectors to fill in the light a bit. As much as I could without using art filters, I wanted this shot to have something of a painted feeling.

I wish the pears were lit up a little bit more... but this lighting is very interesting! It looks like it's coming from behind and the side of the subject. Neat!

Lovely lighting and colors. The color combinations gives the photo an antique feel. I like your choice of filling the entire frame. Well done.

Nice composition, but maybe a little too much shadow.

This photo looks like you took a subject that is normally a artists subject and made it real. It's the still life we were all initially taught and bought to life. Great photo.

This meets the challenge – it’s inanimate and arranged. It's basically a cropped bowl of fruit though. Maybe some diffuse lighting and/or desaturation might have helped with the stony textures. 6

Too Dark and way too busy. Try less objects with a nice contrasting background and improve the lighting.
