I don't get people, really. This is a magnificent shot, real & raw. The massess suck, what can I say. Maybe if people knew you as they do some of the other folks that placed higher with 'regular' portraits... dunno. Adding this to my fave. Great stuff!

This portrait should have placed much higher.

Good one - like your bracelets and the seriousness in your face, the color s are also well done :o)

Very effective. Almost has a haunted look. Good framing with the bracelets.

The composition is nice, but it would be nice to see some light in those eyes.

Very strong closeup. The bangles identify your cultural roots.

A sense of mystery. Composition is great so is the post processing.

The reality of self is... you have a Wonder Woman-like ability to use your bracelets to protect you? I'll look forward to seeing your explanation when you win the challenge ;) A very interesting photo!

Nice grungy look! I think the jewelry is a bit distracting though.

Your portrait makes me think Eastern countries, probably by the silver bands on your arms, India or Pakistan or somewhere in that area (probably wrong guess) Very intriging and nice colours. I gave you 8.

This photo is great. At first I wanted catch lights in your eyes and then I realized that this would have destroyed the look of the image. The color of your skin, the black of your eyes, the bangles all really speak about who you are. Great job 8

Nice and edgy, but I wish your eyes were a bit more lively. A catchlight or something less flat would really have improved. I understand though that some may argue that it adds to that sombre feel it has, but I think something else there would really have worked. Great otherwise.

Striking. Unusual. Tilted composition and tight up framing works for me.

I think this is cool with the bracelets framing your face!! I wish there were a tad of flint in the eyes. But I do like it.

Life could be worse - you could be weighed down with even more jewelry. ;-)

Excellent job on this, despite the lack of a smile. :)
