I had this image in mind for a while and was actually going to do this one on Friday night. But decided against it until I needed to do it.

But then just before I left the challenge was announced. It seemed to be perfect timing. So that night 3 of us went out and did the shot.

It was taken in pitch darkness near a lake. I did some test shots using one of the other people, so I could get my settings and composition right, marking the ground so I knew where to stand for the shot.

Then with one person on the remote and counting throughout the shot as well as holding my filter case in front of the lens so I could move around....and the other person painting me with a strong torch. We did 5 shots before I got everything just right. The wind was unpredictable making my cape fly around wildly.....!

But hopefully it will go well with the voters.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Not your ho-hum, another-just-like-the-other pic, izzit? I believe I LIKE it, though I often lean toward a really good another-like-the-other pics. pas comme les autres, mais ça marche!

I appreciate the effort with this shot however for me the cloned approache here doesnt do it for me. I guess I have a problem with this much post editing in a photo challenge even if it is allowed, now if I'm wrong and this is "as shot" I'm very impressed... I just can't imagine this is as shot... 6

This is very creative and well executed.

One thing to improve in my mind is the amount of yellow, makes it seem a little amateurish.

All in all this is awesome for one exposure and I can picture you racing back and forth trying to get it just right. :-D
