 I used my friend Nicole to model for me in a professional studio, where I could use the lighting and the rest. The shooting was real fun :-)

Beautiful shot. Was all the negative space to the left really needed though? The shear black is negative enough for me. Was this a studio shot? How did you light it, if I may ask? Left only?

Lighting is nigh unto perfect here, and the neg space adds drama and mystery to the shot.

I like the use of soft-focus here, but it does result in just a little too much loss of detail in her hair. I wish you could have got the background to appear darker, there's also too much noise in the top-left. Nice lighting. 7

Negative space should have a purpose. This is negative space for the sake of the challenge. Hair is overexposed. Good overall tones and pose - just not my cup this week.

the challenge says to use the surrounding space of your subject to create the wow of the photograph, the subject is the wow in this image.
