Well, I've been waiting to enter a member's challenge since I got my blue shirt, but had been stumped as to anything to enter for any of the ones that have come up since I got my blue shirt, so Lepidus offered me this idea and I snatched it up. I hope it does well, otherwise he'll probably wish I hadn't mentioned his name, lol! man, I feel bad for my little ol' minolta, it just doesn't hold up to the 30D, so I'm having a hard time wanting to use it, oh well

for this, I used a flashlight with an orange filter on it and a 30sec exposure. postprocessing was easy, just a slight curves adjustment, healing for wall bumps, USM, bump contrast a bit and save it, hoping for at least a 5

Really liked this one and gave it a 7. That's despite the fact that I'm usually not too keen on dolls (personal preference). I'm torn about the orange light; though it does give the image a lot of warmth.

This shot and the title complement each other beautifully.

After thinking about it a bit, I decided I really like all the space at the top - it gives you the viewpoint of an adult looking down at the doll.

I'd love to see it lightened some, though, as others have suggested. It's just a little too hard to see the doll.

And congrats on your finish!

Man... this is just great. Your use of light is phenomenal for catching the feeling of the picture. Almost feel sorry for the little doll. This is probably one of my favorites so far. 10 in my book.

A little too red, and a little too dark, but a little too wonderful to give a low vote. 9 ;-)

Very well presented, although I do not feel the emptiness of the room because such a small part of it is shown.

Great lighting, great color, good use of perspective and the corner setting emphasizes the "Empty Room"...10.

Wish the lighting were a tad brighter on this - it looks good, but rather dark.
