Thanks everyone. I'm very happy about the score :D
I understand what your saying about two objects in a room.
I honestly didn't think about that, when I was taking the shot, I was very careful to make sure that I only had the mirror in the shot, and thought of the mirror as just one thing, I guess I didn't think it through.
Anyway thanks for all the input. |

Hey there from the Critique Club
First of all, congrats on a top 15 finish, as well as your second highest scoring image to date.
Camera Work/Technical: At first glance, everything appears very crisp and nicely focused. Looking at the image longer, something the average voter does not normally do, I can see that the mirror's edge is blurred and there is some pixelation in your shadows. I think I would have preferred this one with a deeper depth of field.
Lighting: Your lighting is terrific, and your near flawless tones and coloring suggest an excellent white balance choice. The top of the mirror frame appears to be a touch overexposed, but I think that is more of a focus than an exposure issue.
Composition/Content: Your composition give a great feeling of emptiness. You used the mirror very well to establish some very interesting leading lines. My only composition change would be to edit that shadow out of the right hand side of the frame. It is mildly distracting and competes for the eye's attention.
My Opinion: Mice job meeting the challenge. I think you did a very nice job meeting the voters' expectations for this challenge. I believe that this one scored nicely and very close to its potential.
Eric

Cool idea, abstract like. Pretty artistic. Did you try black and white or duotone here - it would allow you to concentrate more on form and shapes. |

If only the mirror was slightly more tipped towards the wall, you could have made it seem as if the plint was continuous with a bend in it. Still a lovely picture though. |

If the moulding in the mirror on the right side had matched the moulding along the floor behind it, this would have looked even better! But as is, it's still a good shot and an intersting take on the challenge. |

Unfortunately, I don't have time to vote. During browsing through the submissions, your caught my eye though. Nice to see an interesting composition, but in a nice and clean, and brightly lit room. It's intriguing and lets me make up all sorts of stories around that photo. I like it a lot. Good luck in the challenge! |
