This is so imaginative - and the the quality of the lighting, color, focus, composition are just great. There is a really lonely feel - it is more empty than an empty room. |

People just don't get it is an empty room when they don't see allt the four walls.
Great picture and well within the scope of this challenge. |

Hey there from the Critique Club
Camera Work/Technical: There is absolutely nothing that I can find technically wrong with this photograph. Your tones are spot on and your focus is crisp. Everything is the frame is well focused.
Lighting: Again, flawless. Your subjects are perfectly lit and the background is perfectly dark. It would be really hard to find something wrong with the lighting.
Composition/Content: Very interesting. I get a true sense of loneliness by what you put together here. Her body position and outstretched limbs grab the viewer's eye and pull it into the image.
My Opinion: There would be no reason for a DQ, but you didn't hit the challenge according to the voters' scoring. I think this image is terrific, and in a different challenge, it would have been near the top. Even outside the challenge parameters, I think it's much better than 5.13.

Very nice picture but can't help to say two items, not one? Too pedantic maybe? Stand to be corrected for my interpretation of the challenge ... |

Cute, but where's the room? This is well exposed and fun to look at, however I think you're going to get zapped by the DNMC voters (no room, and two items instead of one). Good luck! |

This is quite disturbing and striking, which gets good marks from me. Some might say it is a stretch to meet the challenge though. |

Great exposure and scene. It would have been great to position the doll so that it seemed to reach for the child as well...
It's hard to feel the emptiness of the room because such a small part of it is shown. |

Awesome. It makes me a little sad at the same time. I don't know why. Perhaps because the girl looks unhappy. I like the negative space around the girl and the doll. Added to favorites. |

There are two very obvious seperate entities here, and no room visible. This definately DNMC. Thinking outside the box does count for something... but only to a certain extent. I give this a 4 because it is a good shot. |

Nice photo but IMO the black background doesn't do a very good job of portraying an empty room. |

ok, i'll say it: DNMC! take ONE thing into an empty room. here you have two things, and no sense of a "room". it's a nice shot, but lucky for you, i'm only commenting and not voting ;-) |

Lovely photo but I'm not sure it works for this challenge. I don't get any sense of a room and there are 2 things (well, is a person really a thing?). |
