Looks like it's asking "what's that big thing with not enough legs pointing a shiny thing at me?"

omigosh! An alien!....I like it.
07/18/2002 05:40:00 PM
that's one hell of a macro! *shudder* scary.

Bizarre dragon fly! I know this was a "shot of opportunity", but you needed a wider depth of field for this close. (The wings are too cool to let fad out of focus)

Man are they ugly up close! Now I know why God made them so small! This is a great shot!

great detail. i can see the hairs and whatnot, but it would've been a lot better if you had gotten the head of this lil guy in focus.
07/17/2002 10:06:00 AM
even caught the broken wing.

bug acrobatics - pretty impressive. i know you have to grab these shots as the opportunity presents itself, but the background is a little distracting in the top right, especially since much of the rest is evenly white (except for the blurry leaf at the bottom). the bug is great, could be a tad more sharp i think. -- gr8photos (6)

Nice shot--interesting damaged wing!!
07/15/2002 05:51:00 PM
I'm sure glad he's your Thing and not mine ;-)
Color, focus , depth of field, composition all good. a slight change of camers angle could hace fixed the distracting red behind the Things's left wing, IMO.

Good capture, focus is soft and the crop is a bit tight on the right side. Over all a job well done. Kee

07/15/2002 12:04:00 PM
nice...
07/15/2002 09:16:00 AM
Great capture. You could have had a little more focus though.

Parts of the insect seem a bit fuzzy, but I like how you fill the frame. Too bad the bug had a torn wing. Bugs are hard to catch but maybe a bit different angle too, though I dont really have suggestions on what would look good or not.
