| Sonja, will you please send your family to Seattle for a week, just so I can photograph them? You can come too. LOL! Not only do you have great subjects to photograph but your children are great models. It is obvious they bring you immense joy because it comes through in your photos and makes me feel good too. |

| i really love what you were doing here. the light is just a little too close to the boy and they both are very centered. otherwise, it is a very good shot. excellent for the challenge too. 7 |

| Wonderful shot. I would say that the boy is underexposed, as is the ground, but I think you were going for a silhouette feel to this and I think that works fine. Nice summery feel to this. Good luck in the contest! |

Such a wonderful and moving shot, I so want to see it perfect. Its soooo close, but the top gets distracting. At very first glance I wasn't sure about the main bright sun spot, but thats the best part actually. Then, however, if you put your hand up to the screen just enough to block out everything to the left of the top bright spot it reallly comes to life. When that area isn't distracting and taking away from the rest it is stunning. The top bright spot might be ok too, but at the very least really, really needs to fix that dark spot in the top left corner.
Really a wonderful shot though, something to cherish. |

| From this angle it appears the pond is a backdrop. Usually I like a subject to be brighter than this boy but it works here. Nice going. |

| This photo is an "almost but not quite" picture. I like the idea just fine, but I think it would have been stunning if the boy was angled a bit differently (the pole too) and a full black sillhouette. As it is the lighting isn't quite light enough or dark enough. |
