I knew precisely what I wanted, a shot of a horse eating money. Good thing I work as a horse trainer and have access to several horses - and their owners who, like the girl in this shot, does make sacrifices so she can indulge her passion for her horse.

As always, a raw shot. No editing, or I'd have taken out the bulldog clip. Oh well. ;-)

This is a very nice picture. I like how you used the frame on this one. However, as others pointed out the car is really the main deterent here. As for challenge apppeal, I am not sure. It seems a bit forced. I would have liked this photo if it were an apple better. That might not be true to the challenge, but it is truer to scene.

Let me mark the good points though, and there are really good points. The angle of the photo is terrific. There is good eye movement throughout the photo. I like the slight smile on the rider, the arch of the nech and head, and the anchor created by the fingers. Remove the car, and a bright red apple and I think you would have had a stunning photo.

---Greetings form the Critique Club!---

First impression - This communicates wastefulness more than indulgence.

It's not like the horse would prefer the taste of money over real food.

The composition shows good depth, but the car is distracting and doesn't really add anything to the image. The clip obviously should not have been included.

I do like the expression on the person's face.

I think better awareness of the surroundings and the light, plus the horse eating something other than money would help this good idea score better.

I hope this was helpful. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Okay, so I get the concept. But it could be better executed in my opinion. Car in the background distracts from the message. Clip on the money is incongruous. Brights are too bright, and darks lose some detail and color saturation that could have been interesting. Put the girl's face in the frame with more of the horse's head and convince me of a loving relationship set in a pastoral setting ... and I'm almost there with you.

You'd feed your horse a metal clip?

The clip and car take away from this image. Think about whats in the background when shooting.
