very nice idea - but the light on the hand is different from the light in the background which doesn't feel right (studio shot). Also it looks like the horizon is tilted. - 6

For some reason, this looks completely out of scale - like the hand is HUGE compared to the setting.

there is something unnatural about the relative scale of the hand to it's background, it's distract all my attention away from the composition

What an interetsing angle you took this from. The hand looks huge, like 50 feet or more! I think I'd like to see more of the surrounding area. Good composition.

Nice idea. The hand is on the too pink and hydrated side to have died of thirst. A little processing might have rectified that flaw. But otherwise a good idea.

WOW - that's pretty tormenting. Nice composition. I might tone down the pink of the skin tones and dirty up the fingernails to REALLY give it that "I've been crawling through the desert for days" look.
