Nice presentation. I like the use of the vintage looking china. The image is a bit noisy and I would have liked to see a more interesting pattern in the tea, but overall I quite like it! |

They kind of look like bacon bits. Good use of DOF, the eye is immediately drawn into the cup. Some might have complained about the china pattern being too busy or distracting, but here I find it adds some interest and color to the shot. Good concept. |

Ahh...I see a heart...you are in for love. Wait a minute...aren't you meant to have drunk the tea first? |

Very nice use of DOF. :) The lighting you've used gives a very "soft" feel to the cup and plate - very nice. |

Nice china here, i think it's very nice. I think a crop that didn't include that stuff in the top right corner would be good. If it was possible to somehow light the tea and not as much the china I think it would be a very cool effect. |

Very nicely done that it looks like something (a heart). Could be love in your future. I sorta wish there was a great deal more DOF. I don't like the blurry side of the cup. A tip, if you are just doing the shot for DPC is to take advantage of the 640 px size. You can hold the camera quite a bit back and then crop later. This gives your camera much more apparent DOF with the same aperture.
Of course not knowing who this is, I may be talking to a ribbon winner, in which case, forget I said anything. ;) 7 |

nice idea and composition. this looks a little weird though the leaves seem to be in decent focus and so deos the saucer but the tea cup seems quite out of focus. |

top 20 score for originality, larger tea leaves mixed in with smaller ones and less of a clump would have pushed me into a higher score |

This is not an Urband Legend or Superstition. It is a serious practice. It is a very nice image, but has nothing to do with this challenge. |
