Pretty cool photo. I would just maybe have made one of the pencils a bright red one, to give a centre of interest. At the moment my eye sort of wonders around, especially at the top left which is not so uniformed. Anyway, like the shot, congrats!

Thanks to you all! I haven´t got any ribbons with my new 10D yet so I had to take out the "old" Olympus C-5050Z to get another one. Well, it was just a coincidence that it became the Olympus this time. Thanks again and have a great week.

How many times did you have to empty the sharpener?? This also would have been a nice shot for repetition. You did a great job with your lighting, I can't see any shadows to speak of... Good luck...

This would have been good for repetition also. It has quite a mesmerising pattern, although that one pencil in the middle seems to want to be a rebel and throw the left side off. The image is nicely sharp (no pun intended) and meets the challenge. Good shot!

This was good for a laugh - and is a really neat photo as well as being funny. School does tend to go through pencils, doesn't it?

I like the way you've completely filled the frame with the pencils (hope you have a use for that many, now!) and the very sharp focus. The lighting is nice as well, unobtrusive unless you're studying it, no glare, nice direction in terms of creating shadows but not making them too deep.
