| this would be great for texture if it was more in focus. i suspect you may have gotten closer than your camera can focus. i do that a lot with mine, it beeps as if it has focused, but actually, it can't... and i find out when i upload the photos. the lighting and composition are good otherwise -- gr8photos (4) |

| I have tried to consistently require "depth" to get a high vote. Your depth is almost hypnotic, because I feel a little like I'm being pulled into a video game here. Good effect, but I would still recommend building overall depth into pictures. Texture 3, overall impression 4. 7 nards656 |

| This is a nice photograph of texture but an extremely difficult photo to pull off... I would like this photo more if it was sharper... did you, by chance, run the sharpen filter on it? = 6 - jmsetzler |

| This is really an interesting texture picture, but you might have cropped a little too far into the file, as it's not that sharp. Also, the center of the seeds are a little blown out. If your camera allows it, it would be interesting to experiment with manual settings and see the effects on the LCD before you shoot. |

| Oh!!! I was hoping when I clicked on the thumbnail that this would be in sharp focus. Must be difficult to get the camera to focus on the seeds though as they are sort-a transparent. I found that to be difficult in this challenge - hard to get a sharp focus on a not so smooth or irregular surface. |

| I've tried getting this close of a shot myself of a dandilion. You did good, the lighting highlights makes this really interesting. |

| nice shot. I like how the little puffs look like they're glowing. the one thing I would try to imporve is the focus. it's tough getting things in focus when your'e really close, because the depth of field shrinks way down, and sometimes the subjects are moving and whatnot. good photo, though, despite all that. |
