This is the beret badge of the Australian Special Air Service Regiment, one of the best special forces units in the world. It is gold plated. All the post processing I did was crop the image and reduce it's size to fit challenge guidelines. I chose this because it is gold and I respect and admire the SASR. I know the words are hard to make out but I did the best I could with the equipment available to me.

The soft focus takes away from the photo.

Too blurry. Really needed to nail the focus for this one.

I like the idea, but I think that you may be too close for your lense and the image is not in focus.

Focus, focus ...

Aside from that, though, the angle's a little too dead-straight. From the side, with some shadows, or standing it up vertically, or something, would catch my interest more.

Hard to tell what this is. A medal? It is out of focus and contrast is too high IMHO. Keep trying...

Meets the challenge but the image is just too soft to do well. The lighting is also a bit harsh although do I like the angle in which it's directed giving the subject depth. I would maybe just dim/diffuse the lighting and also try and steady the camera better for a crisper image although from the looks of this subject it probably doesn't have real fine lines to get tack sharp.

Nice picture...I just wish it was in a little better focus.

Focus is a bit too soft here. A proud pin to own.
