Oh man! I am so surprised to see this one in 40th place with a 5.8. I gave it a 10 and think its beautiful! That red looks so rich. Hmmm. Confirmed once again that too many times I suck at being on the same wavelength as the masses :( Awesome photo!

I like the whole set up and look of this image, but it appears to be a bit of a double image to me, especially noticable around the "Nikon" and "D70". |

Horrible double effect caused by the mirror on the nameplate mars this, rather. It's a little bit "here is a picture of my camera", though the background cloth is a pleasant colour. |

Beautifully conceived and executed. Probably the most elegant self portrait here. Colors, comp, focus & lighting are all superb. I like that you flipped the image so "Nikon" reads correctly. Among my top picks. |

Oh yeah. Definitely what I had in mind too - 'cept you've put it together rather well. I see the silhouette from the reflection on the mirrors' glass - any ideas on how to prevent that (ie, glassless mirrors?) |

gave this a 7. i love the beautifully rich red colour of the backdrop; looks really striking against the black of the canera body and lens. clearly the shot is suffering a bit from the distortion (less solid reflections) from the glass in the mirror, but the overall shot is so strikingly in your face it doesn't hurt it that much. nice. |

Like it a lot. You could sell it to Nikon ads. |

this is ready for a Nikon ad..well done..and this is from a
Canon user: I like the use of the red fabric and interesting lighting effect. |

Annoying ghost reflection from front surface of mirror. But at least I know that this is the real deal and not just a photograph taken with another camera. Your use of an ultra-wide angle lens makes this work with an eligant angle. |

Nice shot!
I think the camera should be lower in the composition of the image. It is a shame about the "Blur" or "Double Image" on the hot shoe and Nikon logo, though I found these to be pretty hard to avoid when shooting into a mirror! |

love the red and the composition...weren't we supposed to use the camera to take a picture of itself though? |
