This is a beautiful image! Very well deserving of a ribbon.
A bit of advice and I am sure someone has already stated it...
I find myself only looking at the upper left hand side of the picture because of where she is looking. Feels a bit cut off on the left side. Try a landscape composition instead of portrait.
Again Congrats! |

Wow... my first ribbon. It's red for the red beret :) And, she is indeed beautiful.
Thank you all for loving the picture and also for the great comments. I found them all very helpful.
But, you know what I just did. I sent the wrong picture for original submission. Gosh, I'm just too shocked with all this. I tried to re-send it already, so I'm praying hard now that I can keep this ribbon.

This is a lovely image, I like the choice of colours and the softness is excellent. The only distracting thing is the horses nose tucked behind the 'models' shoulder (IMHO) |

cooool...I have a slight problem with the framing..maybe a landscape crop with some space in front of the girl works better? |

Definately one of my favorites! Love how the red pops with the other neutrals/whites. Perfect soft focus. You did a great job at portraying the dreamy look. |

Love the soft focus effect and really good job with the horse. I wish that she was looking in the other direction toward the horse. |

I know the focus of the picture is the girl, but I'm a horse person, and I'm sorry if I sound to critical. I think the picture would of looked more pleasing if the saddle pad was clean. If it is a clean pad, I would of tacked up with a white one.

obviously, your model is stunningly gorgeous - which probably means half the work is done for you in this case ;) the mix of the soft focus and the near depth of field is really effective and adds a very real sense of physical depth and distance to the picture. i'm in two minds about the horse; it's a bit weird to have him in this sort of shot, but then horses are very dream-esque sort of creatures, and that, i suppose, again suits the soft focus. also not entirely sure about the pose; seems more street attitude than the country girl peasant the attire and environment would suggest... just my interpretation i suppose. i also like that hat; the inclusion of the splash of red works for me against whites and greens. visually very appealing; 9.
ps: i'm not going to join the hordes and mention the spelling of beret, i'm too nice to do that :) |

this shot is too blurry...could be sharper...Just Kidding!!
The white dress is a bit blown out in the middle as well as the horse's head, good shot otherwise |
