Finally a photo where the photo tells the story not the title! Very good creativity. The big malls kill the small cornershops. To me it's not an spectacular technically interesting photograph (apart from the grey tones which support the theme well), but it has a clear message. That's why I like it.

I like this - it makes me think about the way local shops have been forced out of business by the big shopping malls - but we can't blame the malls - we, as a corporate, commercial society are the ones who choose the malls over the cornershops. I think the photo conveys the message well, and I like the way it's almost a monotone even though it's shot in colour.

Too true! Corporations and chain stores beat out the little guy on the corner.

beautiful and meaningful

This is bleak, very bleak. Good capture. I like that there is "nothing" in the picture. It adds to the despair. karmat

An anti-big business shot? This seems like the effect from last week where the person was slumped over the picnic table, same person? I like this effect of seeming black and white, with some color in it. It reminds me of colorized movies. 7 Swash

Capitalism at its finest! In my top three this week.

I like all the dark colours here. What would black & white have looked like? Good shot.

Excellent picture, but not sure how it relates to corporate world.

great shot...good depth and use of few colors.

Yeah I see your point...I think. Ma and Pa business can't compete with the big guys.

Very appropriate. Since it's not recent, however, it's not as effective as it could be.

This is so well done. I love the way it almost looks black and white. I have a personal soft spot for "found" rather than "setup" photos. My highest score this week. BAMartin

nice picture but what does it have to do with the corporate world?Don't care how the corner angle just got cropped out at the edge (top)

I like the picture, especially the colors. The only problem I have with it is that it's a bit of a stretch for the topic.

Should have saved this for this weeks challenge. Who knew?

Good composition. Unique approach to subject of challenge. Conveys a message in a stark manner.
