WOW! f22 at 5 seconds....the luxury or a dead model. You nailed it with this one. Probably one of the finer, macro dof's I've seen.

Come on now, you couldn't take that tiny bit of fuzz/string/lint/whatever off the bee's chin/leg/tentacle/whatever before taking a shot? It's totally distracting... what an awful picture...

Just kidding.

I'm just mocking certain DCP'ers. I think this a very very cool photograph. Congrats on the ribbon!

Woah, I want a camera and lenses that can give me a shot like this! Well taken shot, the light is perfect which is quite unusual for macros of this nature. Superb composition/ crop. You seem to have posed your subject very nicely. The level of detail is just unbelievable. Amazing dof. 10

Beautiful closeup. Love the texture of the eyes. I can't believe that you were able to get close enough to capture pollen on the bees' body. Great depth of field help to make the head pop out of the shot.

I think that the frame distracts a bit. Maybe a different colored one might work better or none.

Very nice shot. It is amazing how complex bugs eyes are when seen at this level. Once the challenge is over some spot editing to get rid of the imperfections will really make this an incredible shot. I really like the border too. Some people tend to overdue it with borders, but I think in this case, it helps the photo. Great job!

overall dark but excellent none the less. Shame the mouth parts are cropped as I think they would have added a lot to the impact of the shot.
