Hey all,
Thanks for the votes, comments and critique, I do appreciate it very much. My interpretation of the silhouette was stretched a little here and a few of you guys liked it, and some obviously didn't. But that's OK, this is a democracy/popularity vote. From the comments it sounds as if this photo might have been better for another challenge topic. I am still very happy, I got my first fav and 10! :), and, I'm still learning and having fun. What's better than that?

Beautiful photograph here, really.

But I can't decide if it qualifies as a silhouette. I seems more like its side lit to me with that wonderfull rim lighting.

It's a really nice photo but somehow I don't think it meets the challenge. I think the background should have color and not the foreground. Please excuse me if I'm wrong. I still think it's an awesome photo...

I am seeing quite a bit of noise in the background. But otherwise, nice concept, nicely done. The lighting is great; love the halo-ing, but is it actually a silhouette or just backlighting?
