 Opened NEF in Nikon Editor (low shorpening, -1/3 exposure comp, Incandesant WB) Saved as TIFF.
Opened TIFF in PS6, Selected Green in eyes using selective color, Reversed selection, Adjusted Hue/Sat in Fur, Unsharp Mask (100/1) in Fur, Revesed Selection back, Adjusted Selective Color in eyes, Unsharp Mask (200/2) in eyes, rotate canvas, cropped, adjusted levels, resized, saved for web.


Thanks for all the great comments. To answer a couple of questions: To get the cat to look at me like that, she is actually lying on her back looking over at me. During editing I rotated the image 180. The light in her eyes is a hallogan lamp reflected in the corner of the room and off the ceiling; thats where the wierd looking reflections came from.

6 - Like this - just the reflections/'something' in the eyes, detracts too much in my opinion. Colors are very nice. Like the composition. Detail on the fur in focus is very good. Also good to see is that the eyes seem nice and clean. Up to 6 from 5.

great compostion, I am pet sitting a cat with similar colored eyes, but can't get her to stay still long enough to get a shot.

Frightning picture. One of top 5 so far. Only improvement I can see is if the glare in the eyes could be removed.
