| that's a cool picture. i get more of a feeling that the dolphin is jumping out into my living room than rest...but personal takes on categories is what makes things great...so i won't factor that into my scoring. I'm sure that it was just a spur of the moment shot, and it wouldn't have been possible to do different, but only more negative space off to the right instead of the left would have made me score higher. cool pic. |

Beautiful shot, and maybe restful to the eye, but the subjects aren't at rest at all.
To me, this doesn't meet the challenge that way. Nevertheless it's a great photo. |

| there's definitely no rest in this photo. it's a good shot which I would give an 8 under a different challenge, but it's about motion and height. nothing is resting or lying still. |

| great shot of dolphins, but these guys don't look at rest with their heads pooping out of the water like that. Not a natural thing for dolphins to do, I guess. |

| I love dolphins and this is a beautiful shot of some but they don't look at rest. I'm sure your going to get a ton of comments from other voters telling you they're not at rest (the voters on this site love to point out the obvious) so I won't dwell on that. The dolphin below the top one is a bit blurred. I can't tell if its from movement or depth of field. I'm guessing to freeze the top dolphin you used a pretty fast shutter speed so its probably a DOF problem. Setting your camera's ASA setting (if it has one) to a higher setting might have solved this. That's a knit pic though. I realize how difficult it is to shoot moving animals so that said, you did a great job. |

| I'm trying to comment on the majority of the 'at rest' images, but there isnt much I can say about this one. The dolphins are cute and I like the glow of the skin. There seems to be a little blur in places, but I'm sure that's due to the fact that they can be quite fast creatures. I'm not a stickler for photographs being 'on topic', but I really do not see much 'at rest' here. The dolphin isnt sitting or laying down, and seems to be more 'at play' than 'at rest'. |
