 This rare tree is a native to Ajloun in Northern Jordan. The color is bright red and the tree trunk "peels" in this very strange way. I remembered this tree but not the exact location, found a few after driving for about 1 1/2 hours. The composition is not what I had hoped for, don't have much hopes for high scores, include for interest sake..

Not crazy about the composition; but that's a downright interesting tree. The image makes me want to find one of those and touch it.

Arbutus are wonderful trees. Rare to find them. The texture of this one is very nice. I wonder if the lighting could be better?

very interesting bark on this tree! nice light along trunk. The golden lite area on left middle is where my eye seems to keep ending. and that area is nice. Can't exactly put my finger on what I don't like about the greenery. The blur seems to be moving or something...? 7 for the tree trunk 5 for composition and blur/business around trunk...6 overall..gl in challenge :-)
