Used hue/saturation on individual channels, then sponge tool, then USM. Then curves to bring the yellow out a bit more. Then used magic wand tool to draw round the flowers and used hue/sat on the yellow channel to brighten the yellow more. Save for web.First time I've done editing like this and was using the Canon 300D for the first time, so am really chuffed!

Was this shot in the middle of the day? Seems way too contrasty, with some harsh shadows. Would be better to photograph when in the shade or with some more flattering light.

I like the way you left the flowers yellow against the b&w background. However, they do appear extremely grainy. The background could have just a bit more contrast as well. It suffers from too much midtone and not enough highlights and darks.

Great concept but the flowers seem to be over processed.

The second Mellow Yellow title I've seen in this challenge. For me, the selective desaturation doesn't work here.

Thumbnail looks stunning - but because the focus is not quite accurate on the yellow flowers the large image is not so dynamic.

selective desat is rarely received well around here...it doesn't usually bother me, though...however, this shot is a too soft, and ideally you'd want a shallow focus here.

I'm not sure selective desaturation is working here. Interesting textures.

Over exposed... the color is way too bright to fit with the rest of the composition.

Its a different take on flowers, but unfortunetly you missed with the focusing. The yellow is a bit hot also.
