 Shot in the studio (err...kitchen) in my house. Plucked a branch from the tree outside in the back yard as the wind and rain hadn't let up all night.

Oh yea, this is the first entry with the D200 for me, open challenge....let's see how this turns out..

I kind of wish the entire leaf was in focus. I know that is difficult to achieve with a macro shot. The blur at the bottom of the leaf bothers me a bit. However, I like the elegance of the curve of the leaf and the negative space created by the simple black background.

Tough one for the DoF. Still, I would have liked the see the whole leaf in focus. But a good attempt all the same.

Very nice shot. good lighting. however the shallow depth of field doesn't contribute here i think. Nevertheless, very good. good luck

Nice composition but the shallow DOF draws me to the front edge of the leaf and away from the drop at the tip

I like the suspended raindrop at the tip of the leaf, but somehow the composition doesn't really work for me.

I would try a shallower DOP to get the entire leaf in focus.
