 This was a massive PhotoShop lesson from Robt, on an image taken at one of his haunts. Details are as follows: from RAW, B/W conversion with red channel, sepia added via hue/sat colorized, layered over color original and faded.

Gradients applied all 4 sides and faded. Gothic glow done off flattened image, layered onto flattened image and faded. Vignetting added, overlay neutral layer with a little dodging added.

Resize to 710, USM, 10-pixel white border added, save for web.

I hadn't noticed this one before. It's beautiful! Must try that method of processing, but I bet the picture you start out with makes a huge difference. I like the three birds on the boat in back.

Absoutely beautiful shot! The water has that warm, low light reflective quality that Bear's shots usually have. Did he show you some PP pointers while you were there too?

Congratulations on top 50.. nice and peaceful image, with some lovely tack sharpness and interesting vignetting. Colour choices are beautiful. Nicely done.

Well I was just reading your processing comments and have absolutely no idea what you did. All I know is that it looks great! My top pick by a long shot. Great score...but I'll go ahead and say it anyways...Underrated!

Beautiful shot Deb. Great capture and amazing editing. Cant really mention anythign that needs to be changed. The composition is very nice and has a variety of side interests beyond the main boat. Colors and lighting are very nice. Just a great shot overall. Great score to boot. Congrats on getting into the top 50. It surely deserves to be there.

9 - Up from 8 - Really liked this image and scene, especially the varying levels of dof/focus used and how they were used to emphasize the elements in the image you wanted. Nice composition and colors. The only thing for me was the background - where the ground seems to go to another level and there are some oof objects/etc there - if the image were able to be cropped and that removed (yet still retain the proportions, etc) likely have made this even better in my opinion. Maybe bottom left corner too, but difficult. Lighting is very nice. edit:to add comments

I could see this photo framed and hanging on a wall somewhere. That's one of the things I like to use when voting on challenges. The only thing that I can think of that would have improved the photo...and it's stupidly small...is that plastic crate. I know, it's very dark but I can still tell what it is. I'd rather see an old, worn wooden box or something. Anyway, it's nothing and you've got a great photo...one of the few 10's I've given out so far...10

This image would be fantastic if that 2nd boat werent there. That is reasonably easy to clone out, or perhaps next time walk around the boat. The exposure is good.

Oh my! What a stunning photo! The crispness and light on the boat set in its dreamy gorgeous surroundings look amazing! The color tones are so beautiful! Sepia. . .yet there's color! This is one of my new all-time favorites! 10

Man there are a lot of good shots in this challenge. I really like the soft, low lighting, and the limited DOF to blur the background, but could do without the out-of-focus foreground.
