It's an interesting photo subjet, but what insurance companies call "an attractive nuisance."

I love the rain inthis picture, really adds atmosphere and texture to the swing. 8

this photo would be better if the tree and house didnt distract in the background, maybe a different angle. i like the rain falling tho.

The texture of the rain really adds to this one.
Not sure about the house in the background... Probably would have been tough to frame your subject the same from a different angle.
Almost looks processed with all the high contrast surfaces... (that's good).

I want to like this, but I think the background comes to the fore a bit too much. The focus seems to be the shiny ring, right at the bottom of the picture, rather than the broken support as you intended.

nice job on a tough exposure. How did you keep from getting the camera wet?

Love the idea - composition within the frame could be improved - wonder if you could move your position to get rid of the blue house in the background? And to show all of the top of the frame?

Picture is slightly overexposed, enhancing video-like artifacts. Good idea, though. Shallower DOF would take the house in the background out of focus, enhancing attention on the broken toy.

Very nice picture. I really can feel the rain. How nice to see the rain drops and the reflections on the metal. Well done!

There are so many different lines going every which way it becomes confusing. You found an interesting subject and if you had worked with it to straighten up the distracting bars etc, it would have been nice. Is it raining? If so maybe you could have worked that to your advantage. Autool

Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject.
Composition - good
Technical Aspects - quite good
Meets Challenge - sort of. I don't know if it is old, or just broken.
Visual Impact / Originality - good

Although I don't care for the title (i think the photo stands on it's own - perhaps a one-word title would be better), the photo is great. I like the angle and the lighting. Nice catch of the rain. I particularly like the how the textures are apparent - the slickness from the rain and the rust in the metal. Good work!! 9

The rain is a nice touch to go along with your title... The background in this particular photo is distracting from the subject. Maybe a different perspective on this subject would make it stand out better against the background... - jmsetzler

interesting image. Wonder how you got the thin white diagonal lines. Was it raining?

is it raining in your photo?

I like it. Don't know if its a bit bright though...

how on earth did you keep your camera dry??? This is a neat shot. I like that rain in there be because it I am sure led to the swing rusting away
