I like this photo. The balance of elements, simple black/white, flaws on black keys all work well for me somehow. Sorry it isn't a more technical comment. |

Very original take on the challenge, I like the angle used, but I would have cropped it a bit tighter on the right to center the 4 circles. Nice shot! |

Nice subject. Wear on the keys does all the work of making it seem old. Slight pincushioning, and slight leveling problem are the only technical detractors. |

Just not quite horizontal. |

Very nice! Excellent depth of field! If I had any kind of suggestion, I think a little added action might be nice, like a finger or a hand playing a note, or how about this idea : a strong side light to cast shadows against the white keys? It needs just a little more punch. Don't feel bad, I still score this as a 9! Swash |

Nice focus and perspective. I think cropping it just above the round keys/buttons/stops might make it seem a little less tilted. karmat |

"Cornet Echo" produces a sound like a trumpet in a large concert hall... "Cornettino" produces a sound like a small, high pitched trumpet... I don't know what the "I Forte" does... the "Vox Humana" sounds like a human voice :) Did you know that the term "pulling out all the stops" came from the old days of pipe organs? The stops on pipe organs control the volume of the instrument. Pulling stops allow more air flow to the pipes, hence more volume. JS Bach used to sample and test pipe organs in churches and cathedrals in his day in Germany and other parts of Europe. One of the first things he would do would be to "pull all the stops out" to see if the organ had an adquate set of 'lungs' for the job :) If the organ didn't have a decent set of lungs, he tested no further. Bach was quite cynical, but he is my favorite composer from the baroque period and his music inspires me... especially is works for the pipe organ... kudos on an excellent photo :) - jmsetzler |

A superb choice of subject and angle. Makes this keyboard look huge! B&W helps. A slight slope from right to left. Overall, though, I love it. |

nice, straightforward image and it is well represented here in black and white. i'm sure it is old, but it doesn't really look it except for the wear on the keys. ~mcmurma Aesthetics...7 Meets Challenge...7 Overall...7 |

Nice composition and I like the perspective very much. It could use a slight clockwise rotation. |

i need to change my vote.....this is a really nice shot and compared to the trite in the challenge you are worthy of a higher vote |

Great picture. Always, the piano associates itself with the great masters of the past, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, Elton John :)
This picture works for me, it SCORES (On No – really bad pun alert) well. It's well lit, it's a really well COMPOSED (forget it, I didn't mean it like that) and overall, it's one of my Best in Show shotsâ€Â¦ awardsâ€Â¦ (10) Can't find fault...

Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject. Composition - quite good Technical Aspects - very good Meets Challenge - yes Visual Impact / Originality - good

nice idea, good angle, focus is fine, but the shot needs to be leveled, that's quite distracting here. -- gr8photos (5) |

Great shot. A little off-kilter (some straightening would help), but lovely. |
