I really really like this photo. I like how it's lit, and I like the way it was shot. However, in the challenge, it said to use photographing tecnique to make the object look old. When I think of old, bright and shiny doesn't come to mind orriginally. The object may BE old, but here it doesn't LOOK old. I don't know if that makes much sense. I met you a bit better than half on the score cause this is such a great photo. Hey. Maybe you could try something like this again in the something new challenge. It has GREAT affect.

The original art is beautiful and the photo is excellent.

for the life of me, I can't seem to find "milenary" in any dictionary. but anyways... it's a great shot. nice contrast between modern background and ancient art form.

Your choice of background and lighting to display this piece was excellent. The lighting is exquisite.

I like this, but the overexposure distracts from the overall photo.

very nice lighting...great idea

Cool bottle, very interesting backdrop, major flare is a nice touch, but you probably got flamed for it, minor flares on the right were probably more in line as acceptable. I like all of them! The bottom of the container seems too bright. Maybe a little cheese cloth to lessen the glare would have been helpful. Please excuse my ignorance, but what is milenary? 8 Swash

I like this but have NO idea what the bubble effect is - it's like bubble wrap and strangely, it makes the whole thing look more new. Weird paradox. Is that old/new thing intentional? Or is it just something that I only I am seeing?

Interesting photograph. Does not imply a sense of age.

It doesn't look old to me..

this is a nice concept for a photo... in this particular case, the 'effect' of the lighting and the background may be distracting from the purpose of your photo, which is to show something old and create a 'sense' of old with your photographic technique :) - jmsetzler

I love the effect of this. The little "starbursts" of light are also a neat effect. I think if the biggest one on the left was at a corner somewhere, that would be too cool (kinda a minor thing to mention, though, huh?) I really like this. karmat

I like the unusual subject, but I wonder about the effectiveness of the shiny dots in conveying "old".

This is superbly lit; I love the effects you have created without going over the top. It gives sense of power emanating from the object rather than just plain light. The bubbled background just adds to the effect – but does it look old, yes, 10 – definitelyâ€Â¦ This could easily be a contenderâ€Â¦

Excellent subject and I love your use of the metal background with the light behind it. Creative thinking! Works REALLY well.

I think I know what your going for here. Trying to light the image? But I find the background distracts from the overall photo.

Very well done! I like the unusual lighting. The detail in this shot is superb.

what the.......?

I like the light and shadow, and even the subject, but the composition doesn't engage me. I think I would have liked to have seen the bottle at a more oblique angle. lhall
