This is from the Kenya Safari trip put together by ellamay. 16 days in various parts of the beautiful country Kenya. This image comes from the Samburu Wildlfie Reserve which is just north of the center of the country on day 12. This part of Kenya is quite arid and much of the countryside looks like this unless you are within 10-20 yards or a river or stream where's it's lush an green with tall trees.

The lioness and her cubs were basking and playing in the golden light of the morning when they all saw or heard something and turned to look. Timing is everything, right?

Hmmmm..... As much as I like the three lion grouping the fourth lion is a bit distracting. The main grouping is also a little too central. What you might try is cropping just behind the ear of the lion on the right which would solve both issues.

Nice colour toning and light.

Must be a thrill to see these cats in their natural habitat! Lighting brings out some nice colors on their coats, but I wish there was a little more detail visible.

You've got to be more assertive with your models. Tell them to relax, and not to look so posed. ;)
