 The idea here was to simulate my photographer eye looking through my camera's view finder.

Cropped the photo...
Removed a few blood shots from the eye...
Added a fill layer and used the circle selection tool to ring the eye, then filled the rest with black...
Added an inside stroke to the fill layer using gradient mode.

According to the comments during voting, I didn't succeed in conveying my idea. I still like it though.

For some reason viewers think this is pixelated. I don't know why that is, because this was shot very close with plenty of light, and it was resized down for the challenge entry. I guess my eye is just naturally pixelated.

To me, this is very pixelated, and the large black negative space does not help visually. But I think you are on the right track and I'd like to see more of this from you in the future.

hmm the circle-kind-of-borders don't really do something for me. The eye looks very over-processed.

Wow. Perhpaps when you took the picture you could have gotten closer so that when you blew this up it didn't go pixely. Waaaay too much border as well.

I'm sorry, but this image is dreadful.. the frame does nothing to compliment the image, the eye is all pixellated like it has either been upsized a lot or some awful photoshop filter has been run on it to make it look like a painting.. I am not usually harsh with my comments, but really, this isnt very good at all..
