Whenever flipping through the thumbnails, this (the image, fortunately not the dentures) jumps out at me. For a brief moment I had considered this subject myself but didn't have the props and wouldn't have done such a good job with it as you by a long shot. I'm sure someone will comment that this is very staged because the background is some sort of cloth instead of a bath/bedroom wall but I find this background with its folds and darks and lights works just fine.
Originality: HIGH (thank you as I'm tired of looking at the cliches in this challenge); technical: very good. Composition: good (love the angle on the glass and the reflection of the dentures at the top of the fluid. Like the symbolism of the blurred toothbrush.
I have a gut feeling that I know who took this picture and am curious to see Sunday whether I'm right :) (unless you want to PM me, of course, but I have patience). 9 Journey |

| I don't like to see the name of the challenge (new) used in the title... too cliche or something. There are lots of other, more creative ways to express it. Very original idea though, even if it gave me a kind of creepy feeling. I also found some humor in it... I like things that make me smile. The clarity and detail of the focal point is good, but I find the blur of the background a bit distracting. |

| I found this funny, and the angle is really cool with the brush in the background like that, but my dad had dentures when I was really little and he used to make me go and put them in the glass and that's what this photo reminds me of. Not really a pleasing subject matter for me, but it very nicely executed. The clearest most focused object in the photo seems to be the window reflection in the glass. The edges of the teeth themselves are kind of fuzzy, where the edges of the window reflection are nice and crisp. Also there is a rather distracting colorful reflection to the left of the photo right above your rear molars. Creativity ranks high, angle ranks high, appeal ranks pretty low (sorry, I know it's personal, but hey...some people don't like puppies and flowers either) and the distraction of the numerous reflections is well...distracting. I'm mixed on this photo, but the cleverness has persuaded me to give this a higher rating, even though dentures will totally freak me out for the rest of my life. Thanks for the subtle humor and relived fear of dentures. lol Good luck with the challenge. |

| I like the brush in the background. It is visible, yet subdued enough that it isn't a distraction. The highlights on the glass are a bit of a distraction. Overall a very good effort on this shot. |
