 My daughter and I were playing around with the colander, putting it on top of a clamp lamp and getting some interesting-looking stuff. Then, just when we thought we were done, and I was about to turn the camera off, she put the grater on top of the lamp. We both thought it looked much more interesting.

Then I curled up a plastic notebook section separator and stuck it inside the grater to produce the color.

The background is a piece of yellow posterboard.

I'm very happy with the score, and frankly pretty surprised. :)

I just got home from work and was scrolling through to see how the grater finished and, low and behold, I see the words that I would have said already posted by Mr thetoo. I guess we must be soulmates...or something. :) Very creative and such great lighting and color tones. Absolutely stunned that this did not get ya a very strong 6.

Some might find this picture grating, but I find it enjoyable. The angle (and perspective) makes it appear to be mamoth. Cute.

Neat idea. I particularly like the "shadow: cast by the handle. I'm not sure if this is a trick with a LCD or whether you actually used voluminous light. 7
