Nice candid shot, I especially like the man in front with the movement blur. 9

I love the man standing in the window with the bags in his hand, however I think it might add alot to crop the photo at the edge of the piano (get rid of the blured walker) Although you get a full black and white in photo, I feel like there could be more contrast, particualy around the piano players face. Good choice to black and white, but if the piano players shirt is a bright color, it might be fun to selectivly bring back that color. Great job, 8.

This is a very interesting image. At first glance it seemed a little busy for me because my eyes were going to the three different focal points. I think after looking at it longer though, the energy really helps highlight that feeling of alone for each person in the world. Each person has a distinction either by their focus as with the keyboard guy, the blur of the woman?, or the position of the guy with the bag. It all works really well for me and I love the b&w use. Different, and maybe won't get good scores from others but I think this gets to the essence of all alone and solitude. Well done. 10 ps. sorry for the huge paragraph ;)

He must be optimisitc. Look at the size of his bucket! Like the motion and the b/w. I don't get a feeling of aloneness or solitude with it. He is there to interact with people, and he is working hard to do that.

Wonderful picture it some time hard to capture the every day beauty of down town life it reminds me of the saying alone in a room full of people is that how it goes? Any ways its just nice to see that even though there’s people passing by this man seems alone in a sense with his music and at that moment noting else matters. Well cal me a mumbling Marvinâ€Â¦ nice photo. :0)

This is very cool. I think it would be better to crop out the window/mirror on the right - but that might just be because that guy really creeps me out. He's staring right at the musician, but not. I like the blur and the b&w. Dude's just creepy. 8

I really like the business man in the background who appears to be shopping... I think it adds to the lonleness of your subject - great emotion, well done!

The message of this photo is great, one person is "blurring" by, and another is in a store shopping (probably spending money on stuff he doesn't really need). This guy is alone in his poverty while everybody goes about their life.

this would be excellent if the guy in the right background was croped out.

good idea, black and white works well, i like the movement on the left and the expression of the subject

You know this image is almost like there are 3 separate stories being told. You have the shopper wearing a suit that appears to be leading a better life, but is all alone. Then you have the homeless man, who appears to be downtrodden and also alone, finally you have the blurred subject – who remains undefined and there’s the suggestion made that he isn’t as important as the other two, given that he has no definite character. Therefore he is alone in the fact that he’s undistinguishable, as well as literally being alone.

I don’t know if this was intentional or if you really meant for the focus just to be on the homeless guyâ€Â¦ but the end result I think is particularly perfect for this challenge.

10 from me, although technically there could be some improvements, this shot just fits the challenge and relays the message, without needing to be perfect.

the man in the window is extremely distracting...other than him, this is a very powerful shot...nicely done

The blurred figure on the left side of this shot is very distracting, it takes away from the image as a whole.

hmm, panhandler as subject.. its a safe subject.. it certainly fits the criteria.. but i'm so drawn to the man shopping in the window.. it seems to remove the feeling that's trying to be expressed with the photograph. it suggests something more simply of a harsh reality that we should be aware of. i like this photo ;) candid shots are sweet. I know i'm an e"n"tp but i do like to let feeling guide my taste. this photo doesn't push the feeling i'm looking for very strongly. so 6 it is. almost a stronger shot without the man in the window.. although the contrasting lifestyles is interesting, it doesn't fit.. somehow..
