 I was playing golf on a beautiful day when few others were on the course. I decided to take my camera for the chance that a photographic opportunity should present itself as I often do. There was a stream running alongside one of the holes I was playing and I noticed this proud Newfoundland named "Teemu" wading in the water with his master not far away. I grabbed my camera and began taking pictures. His master was kind enough to entice him into the water by throwing sticks for him to retrieve. I took several shots of which this was my favorite. My thanks to Scott for allowing me to take the pictures of his handsome dog and to permit me use of them on DPC.
The image was cropped, levels, curves, some slight cloning to remove a small distraction in the backround, and sharpened.

This is one of my favorites this challenge, wish that the light could have been more even on the face, but on a portrait in motion that's pretty hard.

7 - Obviously opportune, and a good capture, but 'if only' the eyes and face as sharp as the water and stick, but very difficult. Nice portrait though.

Reminds me of the creek where my dogs love to play fetch with sticks. I think the composition works pretty well. I can also see this shot cropped in close so the dog's head fills about 2/3rds of the frame to make it nice and personal. I think this shot would also look sweet in black and white since the color doesn't add a whole lot.
