 My dog Ralph looking very alert while I held his favorite toy ball in my left hand and did my best to hold the camera in my right hand; he moves so quickly that a tripod was out of the question...he was sitting on the top step on our porch with natural light from windows...I took about 30 pictures, many were blurred because Ralph was trying to get to the ball and jumping at my hand..haha..this one appealed to me, he had a gleam of excitement in his eye...levels, curves, multiply and gradien in layers,layer mask to keep his color, cloned out some light areas, dodged his fur in a few areas, then used lab sharpening x3, hue/saturation, converted back to rbg and cropped...I liked the slight colored area in background behind his head, gave it depth so I left it in the image.

6 - Nice catch of Ralph - sharper, the reflection in the eyes more subtle and a more refined crop at the bottom, make this even better in my opinion.

I love the ears! Are they that way naturally or did you just catch him in a "What?" moment? The lighting is nice - it shows good detail in the white and brown areas.
