| It looks like the blanket creates an unnatural bluish color cast on the dog. I would have also chosen a background a little more carefully (without the grill). The blanket is also a distraction. Cute dog, though. 5 |

| The background ruins it in this pet photo. I love the dog, but all the crap behind him is distracting. |

| 4 - Nice pose of Oshie, but even a crop at the top to eliminate the lattice/fenceline make this better in my opinion. Shame the tail is chopped and the blue blanket is too dominant overall and the black plastic in the background, etc - so just attention paid to thos elements. |

| To me, a portrait should have a solid background or should enhance the subject. The blue blanket, fence and grill do not add anything, IMO. |

| Wonderful capture of the dog, but the background is terribly distracting. 5 With a good background, would have given a 6 or 7. |

| Oshie is a cute pup! Nice job focusing on his eye but keeping his whole face in focus. I think the photo could have been improved though if more attention had been paid to the background. The BBQ, blanket, etc really do detract from an otherwise nicely posed and well exposed image. |

| nice wide angle style, but the background is just a little too distracting. Try using a shallower DOF if available.. (or a plainer background) - cute dog though... |

| Background is too busy; might have been better if you draped the cloth over the grill or something so the shot had just the dog and blue background and nothing else. |
