| Newly pollished, yes. However, precious stones, and even semi precious stones are quite old. I still feel it meets the challenge though cause of them being newly polished and all shiny. unless you were trying to get a light glare, you could try placing a thin cloth or thin paper between your light source and the subject and it will help to spread out the light more so it doesn't glare so bad. I love the assortment of color, and I like how it fills the entire photo. nice shot and good luck in the challenge. |

| like the stones. but the flash is really harsh and makes them look dirty, plain and dull! |

| Great colors.. a few bright white spots though, but I dont know how to get rid of those... sorry can't offer advice, someone more experienced would know. Neat collection too, I like that yellow one with red streaks. Without the title, I wouldn't have really thought this to be "something new".. so i gotta give you a 6. |

| a riot of colours - very nice. A polariser might help cut down the glare and bring out the colours even more ? |
