| I see the humor, but it's really only the title that gives much reference to the challenge "something new". Granted, I could probably go so far as to say that it's new dirt, then it meets the challenge. However, setting that aside, it's still not really visually appealing. Funny, yes. Something I could look at for hours, no. The lighting is great, no funny shadows and nothing too bright on the subject. Only lighting flaw I see is your shadow. Maybe the photo could have been taken at a different time of day so it didn't show your shadow. If not, cropping is always an option. It is as a location where you wouldn't lose anything from your photo if you just sliced off the bottom a bit. You have great focus, with nice detail. I love the bird way in the back between the 2 highest trees. Good luck with the challenge. |

| I don't think this really fits the challenge - only the title suggests something new. And your shadow (I presume it's you) in the bottom right corner is distracting. |

| The idea is funny and so is the title. The picture itself is passable and you should have kept your own shadow out of the shot. Since there's really so little in this shot, a detail like that is important. -5 Journey |
