A stray kitten that hung around the backyard for a few weeks in August. It was very dangerous for her since my Jack Russell was bound and determined to eat her. She was really skittish and small enough to leap through the fence. Not just "squeeze" but actually *leap*. I eventually caught her and gave her to a coworker to give to her mom.

Patches is now a happy, accomplished mouser down on a farm in South Georgia.

Reminded me of this book. It's not technically perfect this picture but it has so much character to it it deserved to place much, much higher.

patches had better "here, kitty, kitty" if patches doesn't want to become part of the food chain ;-) very nicely captured and processed.

Very cute subject, unfortunately, the rest of the photo is too blurry it's distracting.

Perfectly suited to a centered subject and a square crop. Love the light on the fur from behind.

I like the narrow focus, but the large blurred areas on the bottom and upper left look like smudges, and distract me from the subject.

excellent use of a complicated and busy setting to frame an exquisitely cute subject.

OK, maybe I'm biased for the kitten, but it really does jump out at you.

what a beautiful little kitten! For me there is a little too much out of focus foreground but the post processing is good and the expression on the kitten is excellent :o)

Wow, what a great photograph.
It may not be in great focus, it may not be perfectly exposed, and may have the subject right in the centre but it certainly struck a chord with me.

Very, very well done.

Through your lens I'm able to experience what it must be like for a small cat in a big world... Well captured.
