| After seeing the placement of this shot, I know that the voters are absolutely unable to discern great photos. This is the best one and I stand by that. I gave you a 10 and I only gave out maybe 4 for the entire challenge. You should be very proud of this shot. It is one of those shots that really bring together every aspect of photography possible. Be proud and don't be disheartened by the votes. You know in your heart this is magnificent, and I guarantee most magazines and pros would also find it so. |

Seeing this at 144th place was a bit of a surprise.
I really expected to see this rank much higher in spite of the smaller size used. |

| This is a really cool shot. The background doesn't take anything away from the bird. In most cases a totally centered subject is not the best but it sure works well here. Great job. |

| Wow, what a wonderful pose you've captured - like a ballerina! The background looks almost painted - which continues that theatrical feel. And the green of the leaves echoes that of his makeup - sorry, his eyes! Great shot! |

| Oh how I LOVE photographs of those beautiful birds! And this has to be one of my all-time favorite pictures of one! The elegant movement in those feathery wings! Stunning. It looks like it is dancing in joy! This absolutely is a GREAT White Egret! |

| this is superb, but why so small??? you had 720 pixels to play with...you gave us 504x326...I am going to give this a 7, but it could have been a 10...when images are so small, they are hard to judge properly |

| This looks to be one image that would benefit from being shown at a larger size. The colour and clarity look great, the pose is awesome but I'd love to see it bigger! |
