Thanks much for all of your comments. This is actually my very first entry in to any of the challenges.
For what it's worth, I didn't crop this image at all. I only did a little unsharp mask on it. Otherwise, directly off of the camera, zoomed in very close.

I think super close-ups on animal faces are very difficult. You did a nice job cropping the right amount of face, but the unnatural color cast in the background detracts. |

i have an idea as to what you were after here, but somehow it's just not working for me. the breakdown in the details seems to indicate a problem with the exposure. |

With such a tight crop, a lot of detail was lost, and my eyes wander about too much looking for the strong focal point in it. 4 |

I'm torn between wanting to see the right eye that was left just outside the image or wanting to see it cropped closer to the left eye. |
