 From the prize money I got for this photo I bought my 17-55, 70-200, 580X, the Expedition 7 and some accessories. Let's see how it does on DPC. I expect a 6.4. Post Challenge: Uh, I guess that was pretty arrogant.
I won't say much about the meaning behind the photo: what I like about it is its openness to interpretation. Be insured that as much effort went into thinking as into the setup.

Thanks go to my sister Carmen for modelling (twice, we had to re-shoot) and for sacrificing her magazines. She got a share of the prize money though :)

The picture's been taken in a toilet back home. It's fun to see visitor's reactions when they go in there.
PP is RAW conversion, D&B, HSL, curves, resize, USM, border.
In retrospect I should have used F/8 and reduced the ISO.

I love the message here: trapped between all those flawless, perfect bodies and faces, setting standards what "beauty" is - and they are all so wrong! The perspective is great, the motion blur works. I like the fact, that the models right hand covers the eyes of the model from the magazin. Very interesting shot!

The angle of the crop/rotation (if it was cropped/rotated) works well here.

Bet it took a while with all those pages, unless ofcourse you already had all those pinned up, which i hope you didn't.

maybe an out-of-shape model would be more befitting for this photo, since i assume you're trying to say "trapped" as in trapped by "fake beauty" of fashion magazines. good creativity, by the way.
