| do you know the other pencil-sushi photographer? Not much to say other than I like it. I wish you could have better focus on the sushi but not lose any on the pencils & hand. |

Composition - very good
Technical Aspects - quite good
Meets Challenge - yes
Visual Impact / Originality – high
Other suggestions – I might have like a little larger DOF. Still, very good.

| oh, my, i wonder whether you got the same looks from the waiter/waitress and constant questions whether you were ok that i got when i tried this in my local sushi place. great idea. *grin*. the pencils are positioned nicely in the shot, the soy sauce in the background is a little distracting, and i wish the sushi was a little more in focus (even though you may have chosen the shallow DOF deliberately, my personal preference would be all focus here). -- gr8photos (4) |

Mmmm. Sushi! Good idea. DOF did not encompass the whole pencil (eraser is soft).

Cute but not sharp enough for me. Dipping sauce is kind of lost in that top corner there.

| Pretty cool. I love the colors of the food in the background and it looks good that it's got a soft focus. The pencils are very clear and the lighting is great. No distracting shadows or bright spots. I would like to have seen this at different angles. Wasn't sure if liked the angle at first, but it's growing on me. Great job with this photo and good luck with the challenge. |

| What a terrific idea! Very original! Good composition as well. I like the angle in which this was shot. Having the sushi tray pointed to the upper left in the background gives the picutre a quarky look and makes it interesting. Also, having the right side of the picture at the erasers being the focal point, the eye is led in that direction. The colors are also terrific as well. 9 yea! - KazyKat |

| Sushi is very interestng looking. Never had the chance to see/taste it because alot of asian food has seafood in it in some form. Oh well... This pencil shot is great if you like having graphite in with your meal hehe. The only complaint I really feel the need to make is that cup of coffee sitting by itself in the corner doesn't seem to belong there. |

Oh yum!!! I want some of that Sashimi. You forgot to pile on some of that Wasabi. Now I'm hungry, I've gotta make some for dinner tomorrow:)
